Dr. Elon, Books that Change Lives, Photography and Vance Joy
I hope you're having a great week, and I hope you all have some time off for the holidays. There probably won't be a newsletter next week (Dec. 26) given the holidays, but we should be back the following week.
Articles I'm Reading:
- Dr. Elon & Mr. Musk: Life Inside Tesla's Production Hell - Wired: An interesting look at both Tesla's production issues and the various sides of Elon as a manager and leader. He's certainly not perfect, but also under a huge amount of stress.
- Books that Changed My Life - Farnam Street: Some more book recommendations from Farnam Street as I plan my holiday/New Year reading.
- Tiny Wins - Joel Califa: I enjoyed this piece on finding and executing "Tiny Wins". It's written from the perspective of shipping new product features, but applicable to life in general.
Product I'm Using:The Adventure Photography Workshop - Alex Strohl
Finally pulled the trigger on this during a Black Friday sale, and finished it this week. I thoroughly enjoyed it, learned a lot, and have a bunch of ideas I'm looking forward to trying and practicing over the holidays. Even if you're not looking to learn photography, it's worth following Alex on Instagram - he's one of my favourite photographers and his work is outstanding.
Album I'm Listening To: Vance Joy Live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Kind of re-discovered Vance Joy recently, and I've been very much enjoying this and his new album.
Happy holidays!
Graham
