Mental Models, Antifragility & Covers
Happy Wednesday !
I hope you had a great long weekend. Here are some things I've been checking out and working on the last week:
Articles:
The last little while I've been digging more into cognitive biases and mental models in an effort to improve my thinking. As an intro, here are some outlines of mental models from three of my favorite bloggers:
Mental Models I've Found Useful - Nat Eliason
Mental Models: Learn How to Think Better & Gain a Mental Edge - James Clear
Mental Models: The Best Way to Make Intelligent Decisions (113 Models Explained) - Farnam Street
Book: Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder - Nassim Nicholas Taleb
This book changed my perspective and thinking in a big way. It explores how to think and design your life in a way that unexpected disturbances are actually beneficial, and gives many examples about where this thinking applies. Will likely upload notes this week.
Songs: Like a Version Covers on YouTube
This a segment from Australian radio, where groups do covers, and they are fantastic, often a blend of new, experimental instruments and classic instruments. I'd recommend starting with this cover of Kid Cudi's 'Day N Nite' and Childish Gambino covering Tamia's 'So Into You'.
Have a great week!
Graham
