Silicon Valley is Listening, Psychedelics, Exceptional Experiences and Walking Across America

ByGraham Mann

I hope you're having a great week! I thought this might be the last newsletter of 2019, but I think I'll send another one focused on year-end reviews and learnings, as that's what I'll be thinking about over the break.

Hopefully you've found some time to yourself over the past couple crazy holiday weeks, and will find some time to relax over the break. Here's some reading to add to your holiday list!

Blog Post I Wrote:How 25+ Cognitive Biases are Influencing Your Decisions
As a follow up to my What is Cognitive Bias post, this is an extensive list of some of the most important cognitive biases. It will be a reference post that I'll continue to update. As I've mentioned previously, learning about cognitive biases and mental models has done more for my overall thinking than any other learning in the past several years.

Articles I'm Reading:

Product I'm Using:Wurkin Stiffs Magnetic Collar Stays
I had to order new ones this week after losing one of the magnets following my company Christmas party. That said, I've had these for 5+ years, and they are one of my favourite products ever. Such a simple innovation that does such a great job. Makes a great gift (if you have Amazon Prime).

Artists I'm Listening To: Claire Ridgely - Busy Body
I had the privilege of hanging out with some friends and discovering some new artists at a little jam session last week, and there were some truly talented artists. Claire is a friend and an amazing talent, and this is her latest single.

Have a great week!

Graham
