No doubt you've had the conversation about coronavirus with friends, family and colleagues over the past couple weeks–I certainly have. This is my take on the outbreak as it currently stands, with some actionable (and I hope level-headed) advice for preparation.

The PARA Method: A Universal System for Organizing Digital Information - Tiago Forte - I spent a lot of time the past couple weeks beginning to reorganize my digital life. I've often struggled to retain and organize information, despite reading a lot. I'm hoping this implementation will be the final breakthrough I need. Tiago has a course coming up where he teaches this in-depth, which I may participate in.

Progressive Summarization: A Practical Technique for Designing Discoverable Notes - Tiago Forte - This goes hand-in-hand with the article above, and describes his method for summarizing and retaining information from the stuff he reads. Super valuable.

The Basecamp Guide to Internal Communication - Basecamp is controversial for their work beliefs, and as a fully-remote company, their communication is a little different than most. That said, I think many companies could benefit from their methods, particularly with the rise of chat apps like Slack at work.

The Great Buenos Aires Bank Heist - Josh Dean, GQ - Just an awesome story about a bank heist executed via tunnel drilling and escape by boat through sewer drains. The stuff movies are made of.

Ben Affleck Tried to Drink Away the Pain. Now He's Trying Honesty - The New York Times - A good profile of Affleck, a controversial figure in recent years, and his battle with alcoholism. A good reminder for us all that things are not always what they seem, and people are always battling their own demons.

ECD Automotive Design - I've been fantasizing about restored Land Rover Defenders lately, and this company has put together some of the best builds I've seen. Enjoy the photos.

What I'm Watching: F1: Drive to Survive - Season 2

I haven't been watching much TV at all lately, but I enjoyed this Netflix series last year, and it hasn't disappointed. Even if you don't particluarly like F1, but enjoy sports, this is a great show (and it will make F1 much more interesting for you).
