Things You Control, Overcoming Fear, & Making the Most of Your Time

Happy Wednesday !

I hope you're having a great week. Here are some things I've been checking out and working on:

Articles I'm Reading:

Things you control - Shane Parrish (Tweet): great list on the things you should be focusing on.

Tim Ferriss's 7-Step Checklist for Overcoming Fear - Tim Ferriss: had some tough decisions to make over the past couple weeks, and I was referring to this often. This is originally part of his book Tools of Titans.

Book I'm Reading: Poor Charlie's Almanack - Charles Munger

A book full of wisdom from Warren Buffett's investing partner, Charles Munger. Fantastic so far.

Book Notes: The Laws of Simplicity - John Maeda

Overall - okay. Read the summary notes for the principles, and you'll gain 90% of the value of the book.

Product I'm Wanting: Oura Ring

I've been tracking my sleep with my Garmin watch for about 18 months, only to find that the data can't be exported from Garmin's dashboard when I went to do some analysis the other day. I'm working around it, but I saw Peter Attia reference data from this the other day, and I'm seriously wanting one.

Song I'm Listening To: Frick Park Market - Mac Miller

I was a fan of Mac Miller, but perhaps what hit home the most was that he was born the same year as I was. Talented, and by all accounts a wonderful person, it's another tragic death. A reminder to spend your time wisely.

Have a great week!

Graham
