Weekly Mix #212 - Is time the most important thing?
The Great Resignation, Changing Jobs, Optionality & Time Millionaires
Happy Monday!
This week I turned 29.
If you'd asked me when I was younger, 29 would have sounded old.
My parents got married when they were 25. I have friends around my age with multiple children, and who are getting married.
Daniel Pink's When, a book all about timing, showed that people in their "9" years tend to be statistical outliers. They do things like run a lot more marathons, because the year is significant in their mind. The limited time they have left in a particular decade spurs action.
I don't feel the pressure to run a marathon (thankfully), and I don't feel old yet, but I do think that age can be a catalyst for action.
For now, though, I'm happy just to think about it!
In the spirit of birthdays and age, this week's newsletter has a bit of a time theme. And I wrote down some of the lessons I learned this year too.
Hope you have a great week.
Graham
