Relearning
Relearning
There’s nothing wrong with relearning.
In fact, it’s something we should do more often.
Knowledge fades over time.
Do you remember every book you read two years ago? Of course not. The same is true for articles, podcasts, movies, and any other source of information we consume.
This is often a feature, not a bug; our minds naturally filter out what is most useful, and forget the rest.
But most of the time, we simply haven’t done the work to understand and absorb the material.
Re-reading books and articles, taking notes, and summarizing in our own words. Doing recall exercises. Thinking about where we can apply the principles in our lives.
Complete understanding rarely happens on the first try.
You won't retain everything you consume without revisiting the material.
Relearning shouldn’t be the exception; it should be the norm.
